DISABLED...BUT NO MEDICAL EVIDENCE?

It is possible to be disabled but have no medical evidence to prove it. You do have options. If you have no health insurance and no money to see a doctor, you are left with two options: one is to find a free or reduced-cost medical clinic, the other option is to try for a free consultative examination by Social Security. I think the first option is better. Try to find a free medical clinic.

The web link below lists dozens of free/reduced cost medical clinics in the state of Alabama, which exist to treat uninsured persons who can't afford treatment otherwise.

Try to find a clinic near you that offers treatment free or on a sliding fee scale. Establish care and get treated several times prior to your Social Security hearing. This helps establish medical evidence required to prove your disability.

Even if you have a severe disabling impairment that is obvious to the judge, you can't be approved without some objective medical evidence. It may take a little hard work and persistence to get into one of these clinics; however, it is the only way to be approved. The path to benefits is through doctors.
